Schools hosted the 2023 Qualification Exhibition

Between 28 April and 18 May, the 2023 edition of the Qualification Exhibition toured six schools in the municipality of Marco de Canaveses.

Through a series of interactive activities aimed at providing guidance and bringing people closer to the labour market, such as the "Chat with" sessions and exploring the mostra.caerus.pt. platform, Mostra reached around 600 students from the 9th and 12th grades in the municipality. The initiative had the participation and collaboration of Marco de Canaveses Secondary School, EB 2,3 Carmen Miranda, EB 2,3 Sande, EB 2,3 Toutosa, Alpendorada Secondary School and EPAMAC, whose contributions enabled the objectives proposed by Caerus - CLDs4G to be realised.

"À conversa com..." was attended by professionals, university students from the municipality, companies and organisations who, through their first-person testimonies, helped to clarify the doubts of students who are at a stage of making important choices for their school and/or professional future.

The mostra.caerus.pt platform currently provides information on 88 educational and training organisations and its dissemination to students made it possible to provide information and clarification on the secondary and higher education offers available at local, regional and national level. At the same time, games, quizzes and other interactive activities designed for this purpose were organised.

The Qualification Showcase was created by Caerus-CLDS4G, in close partnership with the Town Hall and all the education and training establishments in the municipality of Marco de Canaveses, with the particular participation of the GAA - Student Support Office, GAAF - Student and Family Support Office, SPO - Psychology and Guidance Service and course coordinators and class directors. It also had the special collaboration of the education and training establishments that joined the platform.

The 2023 Qualification Exhibition is part of activity 6 of the CLDS4G Action Plan: contributing to the signposting, referral and guidance of students leaving or completing the education system, in order to develop actions to promote professional integration through the development of personal and social skills programmes aimed at vulnerable students, in close partnership with educational establishments, promoting real-life experiences (visits to companies and institutions, cultural visits, promotion of volunteering activities and civic and youth participation); and through the development of qualification exhibitions at vocational, secondary, polytechnic and university educational establishments for 9th and 12th grade students.
